 Launched in 2004 to celebrate the Guinness World's record as the Largest Golf facility, the Mission Hills Golfathon is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious - and grueling - challenges in golf. The Mission Hills Golfathon 2009 is scheduled to run from 1st May to 31st August. Contestants will tackle a total of 180 holes across 10 of the club's 12 acclaimed courses, covering some 70,000 yards of turf designed by legends Nick Faldo, Vijay Singh, David Duval, Jack Nicklaus, Jose Maria Olazabal, Annika Sorenstam, David Leadbetter, Ernie Els, Jumbo Ozaki and Greg Norman.
The Mission Hills Golfathon is open to players of all ages and abilities. The Overall Champion will win the exemption to play in the inaugural Asian Amateur Championship 2009 *(29th October to 1st November)! Winner of the Asian Amateur Championship will have the opportunity to play in the US Masters 2010!
